At Domaine de Pouzelande, we welcome families to our character cottages, featuring a swimming pool, tennis court, and the surrounding nature to run and play in total freedom.
Spacious cottages designed for families
Our five cottages, ranging from 66 to 134 m², offer the space and comfort necessary for successful family holidays. Each cottage features a fully equipped kitchen, a living room, separate bedrooms, and a private outdoor space. Linens are provided and Wi-Fi is included. Children are most welcome. The cottages are either on one level or have an upper floor (Cosmos and Mimosa). The proximity between the accommodations allows families traveling together to stay close while maintaining their independence.
The swimming pool, the star of the holidays
The swimming pool dedicated to the cottages is the heart of family vacations. Open from May 1st to October 31st, it offers a secure swimming area in a verdant setting. Children love spending hours there, while parents enjoy the sun loungers and the Périgord sunshine. The pool allows you to enjoy swimming throughout the season, from May to October. A real plus for holidays starting in spring or in September.
Tennis and activities on the estate
The private tennis court is free to access for all guests. Rackets are available upon request. It is the perfect opportunity for children to learn tennis or for parents to play a match at the end of the day. The surrounding countryside is a wonderful playground for children. Running through the grass, birdwatching, searching for insects: nature is the best playground of all. In the evening, the absolute calm of the estate guarantees restful nights for the whole family.

Tree-top adventure (5 min): Vergtaventures nearby offers courses suitable from age 3. Ziplines, monkey bridges, nets… children love it! Sporting courses for adults and teenagers complete the offer. Canoeing (15-45 min): Trips down the Dronne or the Isle by canoe are accessible from age 6 (with an adult). The 1 to 2-hour routes cross magnificent landscapes, with calm sections ideal for families. Caves (45-60 min): The Proumeyssac chasm fascinates young and old alike with its "crystal cathedral." The Villars cave and its prehistoric paintings are also a wonder for children. Caves are perfect for rainy days. Villages and castles (30-50 min): The castles of Bourdeilles and Hautefort, the medieval streets of Brantôme and Saint-Jean-de-Côle: these settings stimulate children's imaginations and provide pleasure for parents.

Bike rentals (including children's bikes and trailers) are available in Périgueux and Brantôme. Allow half a day for a one-way trip, with a picnic by the water.
Markets and gastronomy with children
Périgord markets are a quintessential family outing. Children love discovering the colorful stalls, tasting seasonal fruits, and watching the artisans. The Périgueux market (Wednesday and Saturday) is the largest. Many villages near the estate also host markets on different days of the week. In summer, night markets in the surrounding villages add a festive dimension: music, entertainment, and outdoor grilling. An unforgettable holiday memory for the children.

Book your cottage as early as possible for the summer, especially for July and August. A minimum stay of one week is ideal to enjoy the estate and the region without rushing. Plan varied activities: one pool/rest day for every two outing days is a good rhythm.
